Now Playing Oasis Live Forever

Inego

From Monday 5th August onwards, our band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Inego. Consisting of members Toby Belshaw (vocals/ guitar), Dan Myers (guitars), Steffan Guettel (Bass), Andrew Markwick (keyboards), Lukas Evans Jones (drums), and Pete McKenzie Hodge (backing vocals), Inego are an indie rock band from Manchester with a splash of disco funk and pop twist to create a fresh unique sound that blends elements of Manchester's heritage bands such as New Order, Oasis and James, with other influences like Chic, Fleetwood Mac, and Daft Punk.

They released their first single in 2011, followed by their first EP in 2014, and soon caught the attention of super producer Gavin Monaghan, who has worked with iconic bands and artists such as Editors, Robert Plant, and The Twang. They went on to record their full-length debut album 'Departures' at Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton with Gavin as producer in 2020, after their ever-growing fan base helped fund the process through a kick-starter. The album was released on Vinyl via their own Fight The Power label to rave reviews and won album of the year on ItsIndie.co.uk and was also a finalist in the Northwest music awards.

The band are currently working on the follow up album 'Arrivals', featuring the single 'Medicine' which was released last year, also the next single 'Turn' which will be released this month. Inego are one of Manchester's most popular bands because of their music and their amazing live performances; they're a band with a huge future ahead.

Their music will be played on every daytime show fon Tameside Radio from 6am on Monday 5th August, for the. They also joined the team on The Dave Sweetmore Show Monday 29th July, you can listen again via the OnDemand section of the website.
