New Gov.Uk App For Official Documents
The government is to make digital versions of a range of official documents available via a dedicated app and a digital wallet, as part of what ministers say is an attempt to bring interactions with the public "in tune with modern life".
Veteran cards and driving licences will be the first to be incorporated into a gov.uk wallet, which is being launched this year.
The government is also testing a chatbot which could be added to the app which would "help people find answers to complex and niche questions".
The gov.uk digital wallet will be available on Apple and Android devices, and alongside a driver's licence it will allow a user to show proof of benefits or a veteran card.
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) said the veteran card will be made available to former service personnel later this year.

Transport For West Midlands Using DronesI
Drones are helping transport chiefs inform drivers and tackle traffic congestion across the West Midlands by relaying live footage to a control centre.

The drones recently helped shed light on congestion on the M5, which led to work being carried out.

Update to TFL's Go App
The latest update to Transport for London's Go app will make it easier for customers to check and apply for a refund for any incomplete journeys, the transport body says.
Customers can also create a contactless or Oyster account on the app if they don't already have one.
The update is being rolled out to all TfL Go users over the next few weeks, after which point TfL will look to close down its Oyster and Contactless app, which launched in September 2017. The new app will also allow people to top up pay-as-you-go credit and buy adult rate season tickets for their Oyster card.

🛡️ Security Corner 🛡️
Many people love playing games online. In fact, an estimated 1.2 billion of us are regularly logging on, signing up and playing online.
Unfortunately, whenever money or personal data is changing hands online, criminals can be watching, looking for some way to turn the situation to their advantage.
Your gaming account (or accounts) should be well protected with a strong password, ideally one which you don't re-use on other accounts.
You should also turn on 2-step verification (2SV) if available which will provide you with an extra layer of protection to prevent someone hacking into your account.
