Ransomware Attack on Scottish Health Board
A ransomware group is threatening to publish a huge cache of stolen data following a cyber attack on a Scottish health board.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway warned earlier this month that hackers could have acquired “a significant quantity” of patient and staff information.
A group calling itself INC Ransom has now said it will make public three terabytes of data unless its demands are met.
The cyber criminals have published what they’ve called a “proof pack,” including confidential information on a small number of patients.

24-Hour Live Broadcast To Raise Money
A Stoke-on-Trent support group has completed a 24-hour live broadcast to raise money for summer animation workshops.
The Social Agency is based at the B Arts Centre on Hartshill Road and organises art projects for people with autism and learning difficulties.
What the group raises would be matched by charity organisation The Big Give.
Members of the group are also currently working on a textile banner project which will be exhibited at Longton Market in early April.

The Gaming Granny
A 75-year-old Scottish grandmother has become a videogaming sensation after teaming up with one of the world's most famous Fortnite players.
Cath Bowie, aka Grumpygran1948, has been hooked on Fortnite since being introduced to it by her grandson.
She spends up to six hours a day playing online - where her skills and hilarious commentary were spotted by US YouTuber SypherPK.
Their first "duo" racked up more than half a million views.
And Grumpygran1948 now has a squad of thousands of devoted fans all over the world.

Combine three random words to create a password that’s ‘long enough and strong enough.
Weak passwords can be cracked in seconds. The longer and more unusual your password is, the harder it is for a cyber criminal to crack.
A good way to make your password difficult to crack is by combining three random words to create a password (for example applenemobiro). Or you could use a password manager, which can create strong passwords for you (and remember them).
