Bridge Fest '24

Stalybridge is set to get a third dose of festival spirit after its second proved bigger and better than its first. Bridge Fest will take over the town on Saturday, September 7, as several venues play host to musical and artistic performances.

The event, organised by volunteers from Stalybridge Town Team, has been a year in the planning.

Eleven locations will become stages as the annual showcase of talent returns. A new location - Ol’s Bier and More, on Market Street - joins a list of regular venues throughout the town set to host a wide variety of artists. Mossley’s St John’s brass band kicks things off in Armentieres Square at noon, before handing over to The Cherry Hintons.

Bridge Beers, on Melbourne Street, will see the return of Bridge Fest stalwart Colin, while at the Buffet Bar, at the railway station, Rory and Izzy get things going from 2pm. Also seeing acts will be Q Bar, the Old Fleece, Bohemian Lounge, The Rifleman, The White House, Florence and Amelia’s and Holy Trinity Church.

Ray Harrison, Chair of Stalybridge Town Team, shared his excitement about the festival's growth, saying: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the community. “The success of last year’s festival showed us just how much people love coming together to celebrate local talent, and we’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger this year. “None of this would be possible without the incredible support from our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and residents. It’s truly a festival by the community, for the community.”
