Little Strange
Band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Little Strange. The band, who consist of Jamie Thompson (Vocals), Olly Davis (Guitar/Backing Vocals), Jack Clynes (Bass), and Charlie Harris (Drums), have already received much praise from several media outlets, being described as a band who produce 'A Timeless Rock n Roll Sound'.
After a two-year hiatus, the band returned to the music scene in 2022 and quickly set about making up for lost time, which came complete with a new band line-up, and many new songs which have followed. After headlining the Yuck Magazine curated 'Another Fine Festival', the band joined indie heroes The Coral and Everything Everything on the main stage of Coast Roads Festival.
Several headline shows across the UK have followed, including a notable performance at The Lodge in Manchester's Deaf Institute, gigs which have earned the band a reputation for their emphatic live sound and performance. Following the releases of 'Holy Rigmarole', 'I Get By', & 'Hard Days Hard Times', the excitement surrounding the band has been widespread.
They have also received much support from many national and international radio stations, as well as playlisting support from Pretty Green, The Manc and Shoot Music. With a release schedule in place until the summer of this year, the band are currently promoting singles, 'Alright Now', a stomping Beat-record with ferocious energy, and, 'Hard Days Hard Times', a track which is a statement of intent from a group shifting through the gears at high speed. Little Strange will be played on every weekday show on Tameside Radio between 6am and 7pm all of next week.
The band also joined the team on The Dave Sweetmore Show last Monday night, you can listen again via the OnDemand section of the website.
