Mistrust
From Monday February 24th onwards, artist of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature is Mistrust. The musician behind Mistrust is Bolton born Tim Blackburn, who started writing and recording music over three decades ago. He recently returned to the local music scene, writing and remixing songs influenced by the lakes of OMD, Pet Shop Boys and Human League. Over the years, he has been responsible for remixing songs for artists and bands such as The Thompson Twin's Tom Bailey and Banco de Gaia. His recent live performances include shows at HMV Manchester, Camp and Furnace in Liverpool, Sunbird Records in Darwen, The Station Pub in Ashton, and at Bury's Glaston-bury Festival. His music can be found on Spotify, including latest single 'Yellow and Grey (Farewell)', and recent album 'Sunlight'. These are also available on CD in Manchester and Bury's HMV stores. In November 2024, Mistrust was interviewed by BBC Northwest Tonight about his music and fundraising work for homelessness, which included being part of a charity Christmas single under the name 'Primal Live'. He has also been featured in the Liverpool Echo and The Bolton News. With gigs already booked in and lined up for 2025, it's looking like another busy year for Mistrust.
