There are a number of different firework displays hoping to light up Tameside next month.

Although the council, like many other local authorities, is not running any events themselves, they are encouraging residents to go to safe, organised events. Luckily enough for those living on the eastern side of Greater Manchester, there are a plethora to choose from.

A number of sports clubs have taken on the mantle of putting on firework events for locals to choose from alongside Cockfields Farm Park situated between Tameside and Oldham.

The majority of the private events need to be booked in advance with a cost involved. The booking details for each event can be found on the organisations’ individual websites.

Here are some of the bonfire night events we know about so far..

Cockfields Farm Park

The annual ‘low bang’ firework display, specially created for children and animals, is offering all the excitement with less of the loud noise. The display is targeted at young ones who are expected to be amazed by the fireworks show set to their favourite Disney classic tunes.

Tickets come at varying rates and need to be bought online on the farm park’s website.

Denton West Cricket Club

• Location: Cricket ground off Windsor Road, Manchester
• Cost: Adults – £8 and children – £6
• Date/time: Saturday, November 2

Denton St Lawrence Bonfire Party

• Location: Denton St. Lawrence Cricket Club, Sycamore Park, Clayton Street, Denton
• Cost: Adults – £10 and children – £7
• Date/time: Saturday, November 2, gates open 5pm

Aldwinians RUFC Firework Display 

• Location: Aldwinians RUFC, Audenshaw Park, Droylsden Road, Audenshaw, M34 5SN
• Cost: £6 and free for under-5s
• Date/time: Sunday, November 3, open from 4pm, fireworks start from 7pm

Mossley AFC Fireworks Night:

• Location: Seel Park, Market Street, Mossley
• Cost: Adults – £5, children – £2, family of four – £10
• Date/time: November 3, from 4pm

Denton Golf Club Firework Spectacular

• Location: Manchester Road, M34 2GG Denton
• Cost: Adults – £10, children – £8, free for under-1s
• Date/time: Sunday, November 3, open from 5pm

More private firework events could also be avilable in local areas of Tameside.
