
A biker is in hospital with “life threatening injuries” after a collision that closed the A57 Snake Pass on Saturday evening.
The rider, a man in his 30s, crashed his orange KTM Superduke into a barrier on the notorious road just after the Ladybower Reservoir junction, although there is no information as to whether any other vehicles were involved.
He was travelling from Sheffield towards Glossop when the accident happened at around 5:30pm.
Police have now made an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage to help in their investigation.
“We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time – in particular anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident, the moments leading up to it, or that shows the same motorcycle prior to the collision,” said a spokesperson for the Derbyshire Constabulary.
