The run takes place every Sunday at 9am in Hyde Park.

Their first ever run was held October 2017.

The group of volunteers and runners are celebrating their 300th run on Sunday 27th April 2025.

Children aged 4-14 are able to take part in the run.

The course is a 2km distance and is fully inclusive.

Children are encouraged to participate at their own pace and have fun in a safe, non-competitive environment.

The children are rewarded when reaching certain milestones with wristbands.

The wristbands are awarded in recognition of the children’s 11th, 21st and 50th junior park runs, which equates to a half marathon, full marathon and ultra marathon distance.

The junior run in Hyde has 10 runners who have received a special wristband for completing over 100 junior park runs.

Since their events started in 2017 Hyde have had over 1,400 children take part, with the record at Hyde being 87 juniors in 2024!

For special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas the children are encouraged to dress up for the run.

The junior park runs provide a fun opportunity for children to get out in the fresh air and be active.
