Ashton-born Melanie Sykes has said the behaviour of controversial Masterchef host Gregg Wallace is why she gave up her television career.
She said working with Wallace on the cooking show in 2021 was enough to make her decide to quit TV for good.
Writing in her book, Melanie, 54, claimed Wallace greeted her by asking if models eat food.
She said she found it 'unprofessional' and laced with 'ignorance and disrespect'.
She also said the grocer-turned broadcaster, 60, 'barked orders' a manner that made her want to leave the show.
And Wallace apparently told her that appearing on his show would do a lot for her career prospects.
Melanie said she complained to producers about Gregg's 'jaw-dropping behaviour'.
She made the comments about Wallace in her autobiography, called Illuminated and expanded on them in recent days in a video posted on Youtube.
In the video she claimed 'every time Gregg came over to the desk, I didn't really like him being around really because it's all about vibrations and energy'.
At the end of filming Masterchef, Melanie said she had a conversation with Wallace, which was a huge factor in her exit from television.
Melanie Sykes attended Mossley Hollins High School and took her A-levels at Ashton Sixth Form College.
