Nissan Navara owners warned over spate of thefts in Glossop

Glossop police have warned owners of Nissan Navara pick-up trucks that thieves have their vehicles in their sights.

officers in the town say there has been a 'concerning' rise in vehicle thefts in the High Peak, particularly targeting Nissan Navaras, which are being stolen without keys.

A spokesman said: "We want to remind all vehicle owners to take extra precautions to protect your vehicles.

"Simple measures like installing steering and pedal locks, immobilisers, and GPS trackers can reduce the risk of theft.

"We’re pleased to report that, thanks to the keen eyes of our community, we have successfully located and recovered some of the stolen vehicles. Forensic investigations are underway to gather more information, identify the suspects and help prevent further thefts."
