HC-One’s Greatwood House Care Home in Denton was visited last Friday by MP for Gorton and Denton and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention, Andrew Gwynne.
Residents and colleagues of the care home enjoyed meeting MP Andrew Gwynne and talking to him about what life is like at Greatwood House Care Home.
MP Andrew Gwynne enjoyed a tour around the 60 bedded residential and residential dementia care home. He had a tour of the hair salon, lounge, tearoom, ensuite bedrooms and gardens.

Mr Gwynne added: “I had lots of fun this morning making Christmas decorations with the residents and staff of Greatwood House Care Home in Denton, I’m always thoroughly impressed with the facilities and staff here.
“Social care facilities such as Greatwood House are a core part of our healthcare system, and we’re making sure they get the funding they need.
“In the budget we announced the largest increase to carers allowance since the 1970s, and next year we’ll be setting out our long-term plan for social care.”
