Cobain Jones is next in Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight

Cobain Jones

This week, Tameside Radio have launched a brand new weekly feature called 'Local Music Spotlight'.

Each week, an unsigned band or artist from Tameside, Greater Manchester or Derbyshire will be added to the weekday playlist, will be featured on all daytime shows, featured on the Tameside Radio website and have an interview conducted to be featured on Dave Sweetmore’s Monday night show.

This week, we have featured Droylsden's Alex Spencer, who is already one of the most talked about young artists on the North West music scene.

Next week, from Monday, another young male solo artist will be featured, and once again it’s somebody who is no stranger to the music world.

Cobain Jones, from Stalybridge, last year released his latest EP, ‘Realistic Dreams’, which was produced by Manic Street Preachers legend James Dean Bradfield, one of Cobain’s own personal heroes.

After a short while away from the music world, Cobain had come back with the perfect EP, and several selected live dates, which included supporting Paul Weller on one of his recent tour dates.

It’s now five years since he released his debut song ‘Listen’, and since then he’s given us several great tracks, including the beautiful ‘Hooked’, ‘Wonder’, and ‘She Plays’. Cobain Jones is no stranger to the Tameside Radio playlist, but to have him as a featured artist for a full week on all of the main shows is something we are proud of.

To keep up to date with Cobain Jones and find out more about future live dates, you can find him on all of the usual social media platforms, and his music is available on most streaming sites.

You can hear Cobain Jones as the weekly featured artist on Tameside Radio’s ‘Local Music Spotlight’ from Monday onwards. If you are a band or artist and would like to be featured, visit our dedicated page to find out how to get in touch
