Photographer Jill Furmanovsky has spent the last 50 years photographing some of music's most loved icons such as Oasis, The Rolling Stones, The Smiths and Beyonce.
Now, for the first time ever Jill Furmanovsky's work that ranges from the 1970s - 2010s, will be on display at a retrospective exhibition called ‘Photographing the Invisible’ at Manchester Central Library. Her extensive portfolio of music photography include iconic photos of Oasis’s 1996 Maine Road gigs, candid photos of Amy Winehouse and Bob Marley as well as The Clash and Joy Division live on stage.
Manchester City Council's John Hacking said: "We are delighted that Jill has chosen to launch her new photography exhibition in Manchester's Central Library. "Her connection with the city through her work with Manchester bands is clear and there is no better place to showcase her work than Manchester, a city which has such a rich and diverse music scene."
The exhibition will be shown to the public as of now until June 24 2023, free of charge.
