More than £450k will be split between 21 community and voluntary organisations throughout Derbyshire supporting adult care and research funding.
Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet agreed to share the cash in the form of grant payments as part of its Voluntary and Community Sector Infrastructure Provision for 2023/24.
Community and voluntary support (CVS) branches in Amber Valley, Bassetlaw, Derbyshire Dales, High Peak, South Derbyshire and Erewash will all benefit from funding.
Other beneficiaries include Rural Action Derbyshire, which received £15k, Chesterfield Volunteer Centre, with £23k funding, and Connex Community Support, with £27k.
The money has been allocated for the period of April 1 to March 31 next year, for the purpose of providing information, support, guidance, training and advice to groups, as well as supporting recruitment and management of volunteers and promoting good practice.
