The Heart to Heart Charity Ball is not just about raising funds, it’s about bringing people together, community, life, and making a real difference.
Tonight, Glossopdale will be bursting with generosity, community spirit, and a shared mission to save lives, as the Heart to Heart Charity Ball takes centre stage. Organised by Chloe Needham of CLN Clinics and Adam Radcliffe of CS Entertainment, the event at the Glossopdale School and Sixth Form promises an evening of glamour, entertainment, and fundraising in aid of Glossopdale Community Defibs.
A similar ball held in October 2023 raised £23,000, money that has already made a lifesaving impact. One of the defibrillators funded by last year’s event has already saved a life - a young Glossop man, who will be attending the ball with his family.
A Community Lifeline
Glossopdale Community Defibs is run by a team of volunteers who work to ensure that lifesaving equipment is available across the area. Their mission extends beyond just funding and installing defibrillators, they also provide secure cabinets to house them, make sure they are correctly registered, and help train members of the public in CPR and emergency response.
“Having defibrillators readily available in our community is crucial. Every second counts in a cardiac emergency, and thanks to events like the Heart to Heart Charity Ball, we’re able to put more of these devices in place where they are needed most,” said one of the volunteers from Glossopdale Community Defibs.
A Night to Remember
The Heart to Heart Charity Ball is not just about raising funds, it’s about bringing people together, community, life, and making a real difference.
Organiser Chloe Needham and Adam Radcliffe have been working with their team of volunteers to ensure the event is a success. Speaking to the Glossop Chronicle last night, as she helped set up the venue, Chloe said: “It’s amazing to see everything coming together, knowing that tonight is about more than just a great evening—it’s about saving lives. The support we’ve had from the community is overwhelming, and we can’t wait to see the impact we can make together.”
Chloe highlighted the importance of the event: “We’ve seen first-hand how these defibrillators can save lives, and we’re hoping to raise between £10,000 and £15,000 tonight to fund even more of them. It’s all about making sure that no family has to experience the devastating loss of a loved one because help wasn’t available in time.”
With a packed night of entertainment, dining, and fundraising ahead, the event is expected to build on the incredible success of last year’s ball. A surprise guest will be hosting, and the night will feature a range of fundraising activities, business sponsorships, and auctions for exclusive memorabilia and weekend breaks. An online auction held on Valentines Day has already raised a significant sum of money.
