Young people are now able to enjoy a range of activities at the newly launched Hadfield Youth Club.
Running on a Monday evening ‘The Hide Out Club' is based at Hadfield Cricket Club on Newshaw Lane, next to the Glossopdale School entrance.
There are two time slots for different age groups on offer from 6-7pm for school years 3-6 (Primary/Junior School) and a session from 7-8.30pm for school years 7-11 (Secondary School).
Monday night (26 September) saw the first sessions take place, with 40 youngsters attending the earlier session and 25 the later session.
The evenings will feature arts and crafts, sporting activities, games, tuck shop and chill zone.
As well as volunteers who have made the sessions possible, the initiative is being supported by The Bureau, Glossop Leisure Centre, Glossop Police SNT, and Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster.
