Police in the High Peak are asking all dog owners to make sure their pet is controlled, after receiving 'numerous' reports of dog-on-dog attacks in public areas.
Derbyshire Constabulary is reminding people that it's an offence to let a dog be dangerously out of control, in a public and private place.
A dog is considered to be out of control if it injures someone or makes someone scared that they would get injured.
A court could also decide a dog is dangerously out of control if it attacks another animal or if the owner of the animal thinks they could be injured if they tried to stop the dog attack.
Anyone who sees a dog which seems to be dangerously out of control should get in touch with police via the following methods:
