Going out picking blackberries ended in injury for one local resident in Peak Dale, after they slipped on a footpath and were unable to walk back to the road.
Heavy rain and a cool wind meant the casualty was getting cold, but fortunately workers from Network Rail saw an arm waving above a hedge trying to attract attention.
A paramedic and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team were called to the scene, where the casualty was initially assessed before being carried to the road and driven home by a family member for further assessment by the paramedic.
The team say it would like to thank the Network Rail employees for their help during the incident on Thursday afternoon (30 September), at around 2.45pm.
