An introduction to new Glossop firefighters

Three new on-call trainee firefighters, who will be based at Glossop Fire Station, have been introduced to the public.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, who is looking to recruit more on-call firefighters, have videoed an interview with each of the new firefighters who are joining the service from across the county.

Joining the station at Whitfield Park will be 27-year-old bar manager Luke Fernandes, 34-year-old teacher Andrew Leech, and 44-year-old Jonathan Retig who works for a brewery.

They are all currently in training and in the films shared on Facebook, already viewed hundreds of times, they talk about the skills they will bring to their new roles from their other jobs.
