High Peak Stand Up to Racism say there was strong support from passing shoppers and motorists when its members took the knee in Glossop town centre at the weekend.
Campaigners took to High Street West, close to Norfolk Square, at 11am on Saturday morning (17 July).
Wearing football shirts and carrying pictures of Marcus Rashford and other black England players, as well as anti-racist placards, the group were backed by a giant 'Diversity is Beautiful' banner.
A spokesperson for the group said: "There is no place for racism in football or in any other part of our society."
