An appeal has been made for the return of a heavy urn from the grave of Dame Vivienne Westwood.
Local business Norris Floristry, who are tasked with tending the grave in Tintwistle, made the appeal over the weekend.
They have urged whoever has 'borrowed' the decorative urn to return it to the graveside or to their store at 100 High Street West in Glossop.
The behaviour of those responsible for taking the urn has been criticised on social media.
“It is so sad some idiot has decided to do this,” said one person. While another said: “Disrespectful and disgusting behaviour,” with another simple describing them as “the lowest of the low”.
The iconic fashion designer, who died last year, was born and brought up in Tintwistle.
