Markovitz Builders Merchants Ltd has submitted plans to alter and extend its existing trade counter building at its site in Hadfield.
The proposals for the Park Road outlet are to remove an existing block and a timberwork extension and replace it with a two-storey extension.
A further single storey extension and a porch are also proposed.
The application also states that the development would also see an increase in the number of people employed on the site, with an additional four full-time and three part-time roles to be created.
