Buxton International Festival is hitting the road this spring, bringing a snapshot of its opera, music and jazz programmes to Glossop's Partington Theatre.
It takes place on Thursday 5 May at 7pm as part of a seven-stop roadshow around the country.
Visitors can experience the world of opera, music and books with a taster of Buxton’s summer programme and the chance to win a £50 voucher to spend on tickets for this summer’s festival between 7 and 24 July.
Whether you’re a seasoned opera fan, a jazz aficionado or a complete newcomer, there promises to be something for everyone.
There will be performances from members of the Northern Chamber Orchestra and Royal Northern College of Music including arias from Rossini, Donizetti and Hasse, music from Elgar, Handel and Piazzolla and show tunes from the Festival’s brand new musical, produced in collaboration with Buxton Opera House, Gypsy: A Musical Fable. The evening will be rounded off with some excerpts from the festival’s jazz programme.
Doors open from 6.30pm and tickets cost £10 – with a 10 per cent discount for groups of 10 or more. For tickets and more information, visit www.buxtonfestival.co.uk
