Voters have the chance to elect a new councillor to serve on High Peak Borough Council on Thursday (7 April).
A by-election is being held for a vacant seat in the Cote Heath ward in Buxton, which also covers Harpur Hill and King Sterndale.
The polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Three candidates are to contest the seat that had been held by Labour councillor Keith Savage, who sadly died in December.

The candidates are Peter Colin Crook for the Green Party, Kev Kirkham for the Conservatives and Alan Geoffrey Smith for Labour.
High Peak Borough Council has 43 councillors across 28 wards.
Following the last election in 2019, Labour held 22 of the seats and overall control of the council. The Conservatives had 16 seats, Liberal Democrats three, and the Green Party two.
If Labour were to lose the seat, they would have no longer have overall control, however they could then form a coalition with another party.
