Candlelit vigil in Glossop to remember domestic abuse victims

A local domestic abuse charity is holding a candlelit vigil in Glossop town centre.

Crossroads Derbyshire is inviting people to join them in remembering the two women killed each week as a result of domestic violence.

The event is on Monday 6 December at 6pm on Norfolk Square.

It will involve speakers, poems, music and candles.

The event is part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, which begins with the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women.
