The Friends of Chinley Park are inviting the community to celebrate nature this Saturday (3 September).
Running from 11am to 4pm, there will be a host of activities taking place at Chinley Nature Reserve, located just off Stubbins Lane.
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust will be there and helping to lead a number of activities.
Visitors will be able to enjoy guided tours, pond dipping, the chance to plant new flowers, face painting, games, quizzes, and nature trail.
Entries in the Nature Photograph Competition will also be on display.
The competition is for photos of nature taken within the parish. They need to be submitted by midday on the day and will then go on display until 4pm.
Local photographer Mark Lomas will have the difficult task in picking the winners. The 12 best images are set to feature in a 2023 calendar.
