Centre Stage celebrate 15 years in the industry

Last weekend marked a milestone for Glossop based dance school, Centre Stage Academy of Dance, as they celebrated their 15th anniversary.

Celebrations took place at Oatlands Hall as well as hosting their annual Christmas show at Glossopdale School.

Founded in 2009 by local dancer Megan Elliott, the academy has continued to grow and has become an inspirational and creative place for young children in the community.

Over the years, Centre Stage has seen its students graduate from some of the most prestigious dance institutions, including Urdang London,  LIPA, The Hammond, and more.

Many of their past students are now living their dreams, performing on cruise ships, touring with shows, and appearing in productions across the world.

A spokesperson for Centre Stage added: “The academy’s heart lies in building confidence in young people through a performance-based programme in dance, theatre , acrobatics & circus skills.

Beyond dance, they nurture essential life skills, encourage social growth, and help their students create lifelong friendships.”

They added: “Here’s to the past 15 years of success and the many more to come! Congratulations to Megan Elliott and all the staff  at Centre Stage Academy of Dance for continuing to inspire and shape the future of young performers.”
