Lanes restrictions will be in place on the A6 Chapel bypass for four days in August for an annual 'spring' clean by Derbyshire County Council.
Each summer the council, with the help of the district and borough councils, carry out a maintenance programme on all the dual carriageways in the county.
From 7am to 3.30pm from 1 to 4 August, there will be lane closures on the A6 Chapel bypass to allow work to take place such as grass cutting, picking up litter, emptying the gullies and drains and fixing any potholes.
DCC’s Cabinet Member for Highways Assets and Transport, Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal, said: “By bringing together different teams from the county council, and our district and borough partners to do this vital work we can be more efficient and not impact on the travelling public too much.”
The council would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.
