It's been an exciting time for children at Charlesworth School as Christmas came ever closer.
Pupils at the Long Lane site had a visit from a donkey called Romance who came calling as part of a Nativity walk through the village.
There was also plenty going on in the classrooms and at the other site of the primary school on Town Lane.
It was fun all the way at Class One which contains Reception and Year 1 children.
The staff had set up Santa’s Post Office and the pupils were kept busy answering the phone, speaking to customers, weighing Christmas parcels and wrapping presents up for children before sending them out on deliveries.
Of course there was Santa’s grotto where the children had been developing imaginative stories.
Headteacher Phil Whiston said: “The children have loved engaging with this imaginative and creative play throughout the last few weeks of a busy term.”
