A community choir who formed in April give their first performance on Monday (4 July).
High Peak Singers, led by Hannah Brine, will give an informal performance ‘Summer Serenade’ at The Royal Hayfield at 8pm.
Hannah founded the choir, which has around 30 members, after moving to New Mills this spring.
She said: “I have been really impressed with how quickly the choir has started making a great sound, and I’m really looking forward to sharing that with friends and family in our relaxed performance.
The choir will perform a wide-ranging repertoire, from gospel to pop and sea shanties to classical, that will also feature a handful of solos from choir members.
The Summer Serenade concert on 4th July at the Royal in Hayfield will raise funds for New Mills Volunteer Centre, with a retiring collection.
