Community work

Offenders whose punishment involves doing work in the community won’t be in Charlesworth until the weather improves.

Parish councillors were thinking up a range of jobs they could tackle to benefit the village under the Community Payback scheme.

The organisers had asked the council if there was any inside work the offenders could do up to March.

It hadn’t, but councillors could possibly contact

Payback in the spring when the weather may be more suitable for outside work.
