Glossop Heritage Trust is holding a free event looking back at how the area celebrated coronations down the ages.
It will include celebrations in 1838 for Queen Victoria’s coronation all the way through to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
A selection of items from the Glossop Heritage Trust archive relating to coronations will also be on display.
The event, which is free to attend, will take place on Wednesday 17 May, at 7.30pm at Central Methodist Church on Chapel Street in Glossop.
GHT has thanked Jean Wharmby for a grant from the Members Community Leadership Fund.
They are also supported by High Peak Borough Council.
