Recent figures show the number of Covid-19 cases in the High Peak have seen a further rise of 10.5 per cent.
According to Public Health England data, the rate rose from 588.3 to 648.8 cases per 100,000 people for the seven days up to 13 October.
The figure across Derbyshire rose by 10.1 per cent to 586.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Across the High Peak Borough Council area, there were 601 cases of Covid, a rise of 57, while across the county cases rose by 433 to 4,736.
In neighbouring Tameside, the figures for the same period have seen a slight rise to 496.2 cases per 100,000 with 1,127 cases, a rise of 67, or 6.3 per cent.
