Glossop and District Round Table has given £750 to local charity Crossroads Derbyshire.
The money was raised at last year's Glossop Bonfire and Fireworks extravaganza in Manor Park.
It will be used to update the garden at the refuge for the residents.
The Round Table has been a long-standing supporter of the work the charity does to support people experiencing domestic abuse in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.
Nathan Dearn, Chairman of Glossop and District Round Table, said: "The work the staff do to support vulnerable people in Derbyshire and beyond is amazing.
"Glossop and District Round Table is proud to be able to help the work continue."
