Deadline extended to recycle real Christmas trees to support Blythe House

A Chapel-en-le-Frith hospice charity is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for local patient care with a scheme for residents to recycle their real Christmas trees.

Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen’s Trust is hosting the Christmas ‘treecycle’ event on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January, alongside Simon Dowell from S 'N' S Trees in New Mills – with sponsorship donated by M Markovitz Ltd.

With close to 300 trees registered across the local community, the charity has extended the deadline to register trees to midnight on Tuesday (10 January).

Residents in SK17, SK22, SK23 and DE45 postcodes are able to register online to have their tree collected in return for a small donation to support local hospice care.
