A decision on the McDonald's plans for a drive-thru in Glossop is now expected to be made in October.
Originally the application, that has divided local opinion, was due to go before High Peak Borough Council’s Development Control Committee on 12 September but it has been put back to their October meeting.
The application seeks to redevelop the site of the former Wren’s Nest pub in Glossop and create a new restaurant and drive-thru, as well as parking for 32 vehicles.
McDonald's say the new development would create 65 new jobs - 30 full time and 35 part time roles.
However, those against the application fear, if given the go-ahead, it could cause even more traffic problems and create further congestion.
