Hadfield residents took the chance to outline their concerns around anti-social behaviour last Saturday.
The event held at Hadfield Methodist Church was organised in response to a recent spate of anti-social behaviour incidents.
Present were councillors Ed Kelly, Bob McKeown, Edward Siddall, Ollie Cross and PCSO Brian Buller as a representative from Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Also in attendance was Councillor Anthony McKeown, the leader of High Peak Borough Council.
Councillor Edward Siddall said further meetings will be held with community groups and they hope to arrange a further public meeting and invite the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster.
County councillor Becki Woods is currently arranging a meeting with various groups and organisations including youth services, Glossopdale School, the churches, community groups and the police.
She said a long-term solution was needed not just a quick fix.
“We need to try and address the anti-social behaviour problem, and secondly try and address the issue that there is nothing for kids to do and get some provision in for all the kids in the area.”
