Enjoy some Easter story walks in Glossopdale

Families across Glossopdale will be able to enjoy three more 'story walks' in the local area over the Easter holiday. 

The fictional creatures return in the latest stories written and designed by Move More Glossop Project Officer Helen Thornhill. 

They are part of a series which now consists of eight story walks, written for the various parks and trails across the Glossopdale area, as part of a project by Move More Glossop in conjunction with High Peak Borough Council. 

The stories will be available from Good Friday (2 April) and run until Sunday 18 April. 

The first will see Easter come to Manor Park in Glossop as Manny the Mole is back for a new adventure. In the story, he goes on an Easter egg hunt and helps his friend Henrietta the Hen find her chicks. The walk ends with a few little exercises for the children to do.

The flyers are available from both entrances on the welcome boards in the park or they can be downloaded from The Bureau's website.

The second story is Harriet the Hedgehog in Springtime, which is available in Howard Park. 

Harriet comes out of hibernation very hungry so she uses all her senses to travel around the park to find food and to catch up with her friends that she’s not seen throughout winter.

The flyers again will be able from the entrance board at the car park to the park and can also be downloaded on The Bureau website. The third story will see a new route introduced to the series - on the Gamesley Sidings Trail, off Green Lane in Simmondley - and a new character in Graham the Gamesley Sidings Goat. 

Graham likes to escape from his field and take himself for a walk. In the story, he goes for an adventure down the trail and helps a friend that has got caught up in some discarded litter.

The flyers will be available from the dispensers mounted on the trail sign, just down from the entrance to Hargate Hill. They can also be downloaded from The Bureau’s website as above. Again, the story has been beautifully narrated by Catherine and the audio is available on the website through the link or by scanning the QR code on the flyer. You can also listen it below:
