'Everything is Something' exhibition by Hadfield artist at The Wall in the Barn

Heather Jones

This weekend, local gallery space the Wall in the Barn hosts the first solo exhibition of the work of Hadfield-based artist Heather Jones, entitled 'Everything is Something'.

Heather creates vibrant 'mixed media' pieces encompassing her fine art, photography and printing skills.

Heather told us: "Much of my work includes things which I have been attracted to in my local landscape. I am interested in the minutiae of my environment such as lichen on rocks, frothy patterns on the dark streams of the Peak District and bark on trees. I photograph these and use the images within my collages. In this way I feel that many of my pieces are rooted in the place where I live."

Heather's exhibition will be open on Friday (18 November) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, then Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 4pm at the Wall in the Barn in The Craft Barn, Hadfield.

It's free to enter and there will be original pieces, prints and cards available to purchase.

In addition, on Saturday and Sunday, visitors are invited to create their own collage in a free workshop downstairs in The Craft Barn.
