It will be three event-packed weeks for Buxton with three festivals taking over the town.
The Buxton Well Dressing Festival started on Sunday with the blessing of the decorated wells and will see the very popular carnival take place at 2pm on Saturday 9 July.
Attention will then turn to the Pavilion Gardens where there will be entertainment, a parade carnival royalty, the Buxton Lions duck race, and a concert featuring local bands.
Motorists are warned at that several roads in the centre of Buxton will be closed while the procession takes place.

On Thursday (7 July), the Buxton International Festival gets under way with 17 days of operas, concerts, a musical, books, walks and a brand-new jazz programme.
The performances will be held across six venues and this year there are also lots of events for people to play an active role including lively audience debates.

Opening on Wednesday (6 July) and running until 24 July, the Buxton Fringe is back at full strength this year with 170 entries.
The extensive programme includes comedy, children’s events, dance, music, spoken word, theatre, and visual arts.
