Festive fun at winter festival

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Lymefield Garden Centre, Tea Room and Farm Shop, who are hosting their very own Winter Festival on Saturday.

From 11am until 4pm, visitors can enjoy hot food, live music, home-made produce from their own kitchen, including locally-reared meats from their butcher’s counter,  foods from the deli and guest stalls featuring ‘food and drink heroes.’

It can all be enjoyed in the comfort of their undercover glasshouse too.

The car park is being transformed into a Christmas tree wonderland with every size, shape, texture and colour to sort all your real Christmas tree needs.

Alongside the Christmas trees, the garden centre has lots of gifts, toys, books and plants to create fantastic presents for Christmas.

There will be food and drink tastings, decorations, hampers, plus a visit from Mountain Rescue’s Father Christmas and music from Hattersley Brass Band.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to stock up on locally made gifts and treats ahead of the season, with the chance to pre-order your Christmas meats at the shop’s butchers and deli too.

But they’re not the only things on offer, the calendar at Lymefield promises to be jam-packed from that point, with the rest of November and December hosting further events.

Christmas lunches are served from November 26 and late-night shopping until 7pm is available every Thursday in December so you have a chance to get your tree!

The first Santa Grotto weekend will also be kicking off on December 1, running weekly until the 21st and 22nd.

Santa’s Grotto will be open from 11am until 3pm with tickets costing £6, which includes a gift - all run in aid of Reuben’s Retreat.

Our very own Tameside Radio will also be visiting Lymefield’s Winter Festival to find out what they have in store for the rest of the festive season.
