The Peak Film Society's 25th season continues with the film Parasite being screened on Saturday (21 May).
The volunteer run, not for profit, film society will be showing the award-winning Korean film at the Partington Players Theatre on Henry Street in Glossop at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm.
The Society is hoping to see increased support as audience figures have yet to return fully to pre-pandemic levels.
As part of their efforts to increase their appeal and recruit new members, they are holding a listening exercise at 6.30pm in the bar of the Partington Theatre on Saturday just before the screening.
They want to try and understand what people want from their community cinema today.
Traditionally the programme has been made up of a mix of relatively recent, well-received releases, foreign films not found in mainstream commercial cinema, and the occasional classic.
The season continues on 18 June with a screening of Nomadland bringing the programme to a close until the autumn.
