An investigation is under way after crews confirmed that a fire at a disused building in Glossop was started deliberately.
Firefighters from Glossop Fire Station were called to the old Autoden Motorists Centre, directly behind and adjacent to the new Lidl store, within the Howard Town Mill complex at around 6.30pm on Tuesday (8 March).
Two appliances were required after staff from M&S reported smoke coming from the nearby building.
The fire service has since said that school books, waste paper and rubbish had been used in the fire.
