A fire at the former Redcourt building in Glossop was started deliberately, an investigation has found.
Firefighters from Glossop, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Greater Manchester's Hyde and Marple stations were called on Friday afternoon (14 April) at around 4.45pm to reports of a building fire on Hollin Cross Lane.
Crews discovered a fire on the ground floor of the derelict building and used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels jets, and a main line jet to extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said a fire investigation into the cause has determined it was deliberate and the incident has been handed over to Derbyshire police.
