Fire spotted on moors near Hadfield

A raging fire broke out on the hills near Tintwistle on Thursday evening (22 April).

The blaze can be seen from Hadfield and other parts of Glossop.

We have approached the fire service for comment.

Update 11:30pm - Thankfully the fire service appear to have the fire under control and it is reducing in size.

High Peak MP Robert Largan said that it is “worrying and frustrating” that these incidents keep happening.
