Fixture announcement scheduled for 6pm

Fixtures for the forthcoming season in the BetVictor Northern Premier League will be revealed at 6pm.

Six of our sides will be competing at step three and four of the non-league pyramid, with Stalybridge Celtic, Hyde United and Ashton United fighting for promotion in the Premier Division, while Droylsden and Mossley will be hoping for a positive season in the North West division, while Glossop have been assigned a place in the South East division.

Ashton United were relegated from the National League North last season but, following financial investment, have been tipped to make an instant return. Equipped with a competitive budget, manager Jody Banim has targeted a playoff place at an absolute minimum. Key signings include former Curzon Ashton players, Jono Hunt, Chris Rowney and Connor Hughes, while Chorley midfielder Josh Wilson has also put pen to paper.

The club has also received investment off the pitch, with new joint-chairmen, David and Jonathan Burke, renovating the Hurst Cross Stadium and launching a women's team.

Meanwhile, Hyde United will be hoping to improve on last season's consolidation under new manager, Dave McGurk.

The Tigers have undergone a backroom shakeup over the last few months, with former manager Darren Kelly taking on a sporting director role.

Keep an eye out for our season previews over the next few weeks.
