Forest school site vandalised for second time in as many weeks

A forest school site in Glossop which is enjoyed by local children on a daily basis has been vandalised for the second time in as many weeks.

The site at Gnat Hole Woods, off Chunal Lane, was trashed sometime overnight on Sunday (12 June).

Esther Brock, founder and lead instructor of Inside Out Forest School, said it was "so upsetting" to arrive at the site on Monday morning to find it had been vandalised again.

"Whoever this is, is purposely throwing logs and rocks through onto our parachute to rip the canopy," she said.

"They have sadly succeeded and it is not far off being ruined."

Esther is appealing for any witnesses and asking dog walkers and hikers to be vigilant.

She added: "Please, please if you know of anything to do with this can you please get in touch. Dog walkers and hikers through Gnat Hole Woods can I please ask you to be vigilant.

"We have never had anyone try to do this before and we have no idea why they would wreck our fab parachute.

"Please remember this little spot is used by little children daily and we don't want their special place trashing like this."
