The former Masonic Hall in Glossop is to become two new family homes after plans were approved by High Peak Borough Council.
The proposals for the conversion of former Sunday School and Masonic Hall on Hague Street will create one four-bedroomed, and one five-bedroomed family home.
The application had prompted 13 letter of representation, raising concerns including parking and traffic issues, construction work disruption and the impact on ecology due to the loss of greenery at the rear of the site.
One of the representations welcomed the renovation of the building and stated the development was well considered and sympathetic to the history of the building and surrounding area.
The application was approved subject to conditions.
