Free bus transport will be available for people struggling to arrange transportation to a Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair being held in New Mills later this month.
Open to all High Peak residents, the free event will take place on Friday 23 September at New Mills Leisure Centre from 10am until 2pm.
High Peak MP Robert Largan, who has organised the event, said it will provide an opportunity for local residents to discuss current job vacancies and future employment opportunities with some of the region’s most recognised employers.
He is working with New Mills charity Youth Matters to provide free bus services from Glossop, Gamesley, Hadfield, Buxton, Dove Holes and Chapel-en-le-Frith.
The departure times are Hadfield (Railway Station) at 9:30am; Gamesley (Geoffrey Allan Centre) at 9:40am; Glossop (Norfolk Square) at 09:50am; Buxton (Market Place) at 10:30am; Dove Holes (Bus Depot) at 10:40am; Chapel-en-le-Frith (Town Hall) at 10:50am.
The bus to Glossopdale returns at 12.30pm and the bus to Buxton returns at 1:45pm.
There will be 32 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis for anybody who may find it difficult to arrange other means of transportation.
Those interested in using this service to attend the event are asked to contact the MP’s office by emailing mail@robertlargan.co.uk or calling 01663 769779.
